I'm a single mom of 2 amazing kids. Work as a receptionist at a veterinary hospital. Lover of nature, music, gardening, arts and crafts and reading. I believe in a growth mindset. You can learn something new every day. Kindness, empathy and integrity are essential to being a good human.  

Adelina V Boes

Vice President for 2024 - 2025

A mother of 5 children, with 1 on the way. Raising children has been my childhood dream. I recently remarried an amazing man, and we purchased 5 acres in the countryside of Indiana. Our hope is to cultivate the land, become self sufficient, and become part of our small town community to help others thrive. 

Glenda Ebert

Secretary for 2024 - 2025


A mother, grandmother, and retired nurse who extended her nursing practice as a volunteer overseas.  Discovering that humanity's desire for kinship and cooperation can span across all cultures, she loves the nomadic lifestyle and has explored North America with her dog, Arya, for nearly four years in a 19-foot long skoolie.  She currently lives in a small North Dakota hamlet with a population of less than 100, yet bursting at the seams with heritage, culture, and kind, generous folks who aren't afraid to say hello to strangers.

Mark Ebert

Treasurer for  2024 - 2025

Mark comes from a background where honesty, hard work, caring for family , and serving God, are some of the highest values of a productive and successful society.

Mark enjoys working the land, caring for his animals, and spending time with his wife, Mary.

He comes to the team with valuable knowledge from decades of working in the government selector of real-estate.

Mark is also part of his community’s CERT team and an Emergency Preparedness Specialist. He is passionate about researching and designing homes that can save lives by being more fireproof, earthquake resistant, and can keep integrity in other natural disasters.


Emily Prentice

Board Member

Emily is a happy energetic lady who loves plants, animals and humans.  She enjoys watching living things grow and develop.  Gardening is enjoyable to her and she loves being a mother.  She has a Bachelor's degree in Community Health and is currently a student of EFT Universe.  She loves to serve and help where she is able.    


Deirdra Eden-Boyd

Events Coordinator 

Deirdra loves her community and seeks to follow the rule her father taught her to "Leave every place better than you found it."

Deirdra is an international best selling author, community chaplain, designer, explorer, and cat lover. 

She holds a Master's Degree in  Pastoral Counseling with a minor in Community Chaplaincy, and a Bachelor's degree in Social and Behavioral Studies. 

Deirdra has spent the last seven years working with domestic violence aid services and received her certification through the Department of Justice to help families obtain residency onto the address confidentiality program. 

Ann Samuelson

Board of Director

Ann has extensive experience working with non-profits and helping them to be successful in their goals. She is passionate about serving communities and helping them to thrive.

Ann served as an elected County Commissioner and gained valuable insights about the needs of communities and found creative ways to meet those needs.

She is keenly aware of the importance of having honest elected officials and those who obey due process in order to have healthy, thriving communities.

While working as a Juvenile Probation Officer she connected with the youth and helped to empower them in ways that changed their lives forever.

With Northwest Regional ESD Ann served as a legislative advocate and fights for the rights of underserved populations.

Susan Piek

Board of Director 

Susan's landscape designs can be found all over the United States. She is a master at making anything grow into its full potential whether in the garden or in life.

Susan has a passion for history and architecture. With her late husband she worked to renew a historical home in upper state New York that is now a gem for the community.

Susan loves nature and is at home in the woods, walking the coastlines, exploring mountains, and dipping her feet into running streams.

Susan has a background in large scale events coordination, community outreach, community development, business management, writing, non-profit management, public relations, and compassionate service.

Laura Watkins

Board of Directors

Laura is an experienced board director working with many non-profits in helping them to be successful through her non-profit management skills and education.

Laura is an author, blogger, and social media influencer reaching over a million people every month. She helps to build awareness about personal and community needs.

She is a speaker and teacher for her church and active in promoting whole-health wellness.

Cathy Butler Teichert

Board of Directors

Cathy Butler Teichert is a professional violinist with her string quartet, Strings of Elegance, and a Suzuki Violin Teacher with Cathy's Violin Studio. She is also an Advanced Certified Life Coach with Love in Later Years (LILY), an organization she co-founded with her husband Jeff which supports single adults seeking peace, healing, and more joyful relationships.


With a bachelor degree in Family & Human Development and personal background with divorce, single-parenting, mid-single dating, remarriage and blending families, Cathy is uniquely qualified to work with those in similar situations. She provides private and group coaching as well as online courses.

Cathy married Jeff Teichert in May of 2018. They are the parents of a blended family that includes four handsome sons, one lovely daughter-in-law and a sweet baby grand-daughter. 


Kate Dimon

Historical Building Consultant 

Kate Dimon; attended UCG and graduated University Limerick went on to work for Digital Equipment Corporation in Europe then on to Intel Corporation in as a Senior Construction Project Manager. Returning to finish Grad work at Marylhurst College then completing her career as an Adjunct at Clatsop College and a team lead at Blue Mountain Community College in recruiting solutions.

Ms. Dimon was the president of the Board of Directors for The National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Centre Trail Tenders from 2011 to2013 and again from 2014 to 2022.  Ms. Dimon is a well-known preservationist who still serves on boards and provides expertise on IBC and building knowledge  Ms Dimon also has worked as a paralegal and has been trained in Land Law.  Ms Dimon is retired and splits her time between the US and Europe.
